The Horseshoe Falls stand at 177 feet high, while the American Falls reach 176 feet, though the effective drop to the rocks below is about 70 feet. The crestline of the Horseshoe Falls stretches approximately 2,200 feet, while the American Falls span about 850 feet. Water depth at the base of the Falls can reach up to 185 feet
